ESC Rules
The following 39 countries will be represented at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway
France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom are automatically qualified for the Final . As host country, Norway (NRK) is also secure of a spot in the Final, to take place on Saturday 29 May.
The other 34 countries will appear in one of the two Semi-Finals, scheduled to take place on Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 May . The Semi-Final allocation draw, to determine which country will take place in which Semi-Final, is scheduled to take place in early February. The draw for the running order will take place on 22 March.
A mix of 50% professional jury vote and 50% televoting will determine the outcomes of the two Semi-Finals and the Final.
Europe can expect an extraordinary Show in Oslo this year.
Rules of National Contest of Georgia
On the base of the Decree after Gia Chanturia - General Director of Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) the producing team of First Channel (GPB) was created. Producing group includes of members:
Deputy - Director of Georgian Public Broadcasting – Giorgi Gachechiladze;
Musical Department Producer of GPB – Koba Megrelishvili;
International Relations Service Chairperson of GPB - Maia Baratashvili;
International Projects Producer of GPB – Natia Uznadze;
Special Invited – First participant of Georgia at Eurovision Song Contest – Sopho Khalvashi .
By the decision of this commission Sofia Nizharadze will represent Georgia at the 55th Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo.
From January 17, the Georgian Public Broadcaster announced competition for a national song selection. Songwriters from Georgia and whole world have been invited to propose entries, with deadline set on February 3rd.
National pre-selection includes of three parts. Professional jury will select 5 entries for the national final. The winning song will be selected by mixed voting of tele-viewers and competent jury.
Sofia Nizharadze will represent Georgia at ESC 2010 in Oslo, with this winner song .
